Batch Gate In

When many units arrive at once (vessel, convoy, or peak traffic), use batch Gate In at /dashboard/depot/gate/batch (also linked from the Gate module).

What it solves

Less time at the gate and fewer typos by validating rows in bulk before creating moves and inventory.

Recommended flow

Open /dashboard/depot/gate/batch or Import list / Excel from Gate.
Download the template or paste data in the required format.
Review preview — invalid rows are flagged (unknown client, bad ISO number, etc.).
Confirm import; each valid row creates Gate In and a container if needed.

Typical fields

Client (line or commercial account).
Container number (ISO 6346).
Size and type.
Yard location (optional when a map exists).
Shipping line, plate, carrier (per template).

Mapping profiles

If you import spreadsheets with different column layouts, save mapping profiles to reuse column → field mapping on future imports.

Requirements

Operational depot (active client + tariff).
Role with Gate permission (OPERATOR, INSPECTOR, admin-like).
