Yard map
The yard map shows physical layout: slots, occupancy, and—when configured—stacking suggestions from stacking rules. In the app: /dashboard/depot/yard. Rules: /dashboard/depot/yard/rules.
What it solves
Operators see free slots, which container sits where, and can act before the yard hits capacity limits—without relying on memory or PDF plans alone.
Setup
During onboarding you may define yard layout and stacking rules, but the map is not required for operational status. Without locations, Gate In still works; the destination slot selector appears only after yard positions exist.
Daily use
- Check occupancy — Free vs occupied slots.
- Stacking rules — The stacking engine validates or suggests positions by equipment type and client.
- Gate In — Pick a destination consistent with the map when slots exist.
Capacity alerts
Notifications may fire when yard occupancy exceeds high thresholds (e.g. ~85%), with a link to the yard view.
